Melton Community First Responders have been working with the Belvoir Education & Sports Trust to deliver life saving lessons to school children.
The Trust hold education days for local school children which are aimed at giving children from mainstream primary and special schools the oppourtunity to visit the Belvoir Estate and take part in cricket coaching and countryside education.
Volunteers from Melton Community First Responders attended 10 days of the scheme and delivered four sessions each day to around 25 children and teaching staff.
The sessions covered a number of topics including how to recognise someone is in trouble, treating wounds, how to dial 999, how to deliver Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and the chlidren were shown how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

Schools from across Melton & The Vale of Belvoir and Rutland attended the sessions and each had the chance to try CPR on a training doll.
Darren Bicknell, Chief Executive of the Belvoir Education and Sports Trust said: "We have been pleased to welcome Melton Community First Responders to our cricket and countryside days this summer.
The kids have really enjoyed the sessions ranging from dressing pretend wounds to giving CPR and understanding the actions required in the case of an emergency.

The talks are in the school curriculum so have been a welcome addition on all fronts."
