Tesco donate £100 to CFR group from book shelf donations

Staff at Melton Tesco have chosen to donate £100 towards the Melton Community First Responders group to support our work.

Funds raised recently from the in-store bookshelf in Thorpe Road were handed over to group co-ordinators Ina & Peter Scott this week at the superstore.

The store’s community champion, Becky Woodcock, said: “Over the last few weeks we've raised over £126 from our Tesco charity book shelf.

"Thank you to everyone who has donated books and popped money in our tub when taking them. We decided a while back that these funds should be used locally. "So we’ve donated £100 to Melton's responders."

"These guys do such an amazing job.”

The funds will be put towards our current defib replacement project. You can find out more about this by clicking here.
