Group awarded vital funds from local beauty spa community chest

Melton Community First Responders were very lucky to be awarded a donation from the Melton Times/Ragdale Hall Community Chest in the latest round of donations.

The awards, which are in their 17th year, provide vital donations to local groups and organisations to help them deliver for the community.

Melton CFRs were awarded £500 towards the renewal of our defibrillators which are coming to end of their service life.

There was an extra surprise on the evening when Chief Reporter Nick Rennie, who was also comparing the event, said that we were to be awarded an additional £250 after being voted for by a majority of Ragdale staff.

This year we are on a drive to raise as many funds as possible to help renew the defibs that our responders carry when on emergency calls and every penny counts towards us achieving this target.

Our group are very thankful to the Melton Times & Ragdale Hall for these funds, and it was a pleasure to attend the evening and meet some of the community.
